The aims of our trip to Uganda

Each member of the team have their own personal expectations and aims of what they will experience during their time in Uganda as well as their own gifts and skills which they wish to share. There are however some core aims which we share as a group.

Our main aims are:

1) To let everyone in CFH (Uganda) know that Cornerstone is committed to them, prays for them and wants to support the work of CFH as much as it can.

2) To achieve this a team with a wide age range and experience range with an emphasis on education is coming,

3) For this team to enable the members of Cornerstone to understand CFH close up and personal, with video, photo, and individual experiences of CFH (Uganda).

4) To increase long-term the prayer and support of CFH (Uganda) by Cornerstone, its members and their areas of influence.

5) To bring access to UK teachers closer to the schools in CFH (Uganda) to share insights, methods and ideas to help make the schools even better than they already are, whilst learning about the differences in how things are done.

6) To be able to give more than just money, to bring ourselves and be contributors as well as observers with our time and abilities.

7) To make history and set up future opportunities – it’s the largest team ever to have come from Cornerstone to Uganda and it is hoped will enable a much deeper partnership to grow as friendships are formed and strengthened.

We know that CFH (Uganda) may have things that it would like to see achieved. It is our sincere hope that as we visit the schools, participate in the life of CFH and experience the way things are in Uganda that what might not be achievable in one week, will be achievable in return visits and increased levels of partnership, sponsoring and prayer.
